  • Do you offer gift certificates?
    Yes, we have two gift certificate options. You may purchase an e-gift card online here or you may purchase a physical gift card in person at Laser Bar.

    We accept cash, debit or credit for payment.

    Our skincare products can be purchased in person at Laser Bar or online here.
  • Why are your prices lower than other laser clinics?
    Our goal is to provide affordable laser treatments to our clients. We do not believe that laser treatments need to be expensive (despite using top of the line technology) and that it should be accessible to as many people as possible.
  • Which skincare products do you carry?
    We currently carry Skinbetter Science, GlyMed Plus, Actiiv and Bushbalm.
  • Which services do you offer?
    We offer laser treatments, including laser hair removal, tattoo removal, skin rejuvenation and non-invasive hair restoration. We also have a Medical Esthetician who offers facials, chemical peels and hydrafacials, as well as nurses on site offering botox, fillers and injectables.
  • What is your cancellation policy? How do I cancel an appointment?
    Clients must provide 48 hours notice to cancel or change an appointment. Less than 48 hours notice will result in a 50% service fee. Your appointment can be changed online though the booking system or by texting/calling 705-333-3773.
  • Why do you require a credit card at booking?
    A credit card is required to hold your booking. Due to the number of no shows and last minute cancellations, we have changed our policy and there is a 50% service fee for cancellations with less than 48 hours notice and 100% service fee for no shows.
  • Do you treat men and women?
    Yes, we are an inclusive environment, and we offer treatment to all clients, regardless of how you identify.
  • Why do I need a consultation?
    A consultation is required to identify your skin and hair needs to provide you with the best possible solution. A patch test is also required prior to any laser treatments.
  • Can appointments be booked online?
    Yes, appointments can be booked online here.
  • How many treatments are required?
    Most clients require 6-12 treatments which are spaced 4-8 weeks apart.
  • Does laser hair removal hurt?
    Soprano ICE’s SHR technology is the only clinically proven method of laser hair removal that is virtually painless. The ICE technology cools the skin surface, preventing superficial burns and pain.
  • What is the minimum age for laser hair removal?
    Clients under 18 can be treated with parental consent.
  • Which equipment do you use for laser hair removal?
    We use the ALMA Soprano ICE Platinum for laser hair removal.
  • Can I get laser hair removal over tattoos?
    No, laser hair removal cannot be done over tattoos. We will have to treat around the tattoo.
  • Which skin tones can you treat?
    The Soprano ICE Platinum can treat all skin tones, including dark skin.
  • How often do I need to come in for treatments?
    Treatments are spaced 4-8 weeks apart.
  • What do I need to do to prepare for my treatment?
    All clients are required to come in for a consultation (without shaving) to discuss preparation prior to the treatment.
  • Which colour hair can be treated with laser hair removal?
    Laser hair removal can treat all hair colours, with the exception of red, white and grey.
  • Do the treatments hurt?
    The DYE-VL treatments for skin rejuvenation can be slightly uncomfortable. However, most clients would not classify it as painful.
  • Which skin tones can you treat?
    We can treat all skin tones with the HarmonyXL Pro.
  • Which equipment do you use for this?
    We use the ALMA HarmonyXL Pro with DYE-VL and ClearLift technology.
  • How many treatments are required?
    Depending on the treatment plan, 2-6 treatments may be required.
  • How many treatments are required?
    Tattoo removal requires anywhere from 6-10 treatments depending on whether you are looking to just lighten your tattoo or fully remove it. The treatments are spaced 8 weeks apart, so it takes a full year to complete six treatments. You will see significant reduction in pigment with just the first couple of treatments.
  • Which skin tones can you treat?
    We can only treat light skin tones for tattoo removal. It is best to come in for a consultation to determine if you are a candidate for laser hair removal.
  • Which equipment do you use for this treatment?
    We use the ALMA HarmonyXL Pro with ClearLift technology.
  • Does tattoo removal hurt?
    Most clients describe the tattoo removal treatment as a pinch. The discomfort level will vary depending on the area being treated. Some areas will be minimally uncomfortable, while others will be more uncomfortable.
  • Which equipment do you use for hair restoration?
    We use the ALMA TED technology for hair restoration.
  • Does hair restoration hurt?
    No, TED treatments do not hurt. There is no discomfort, no pain, no needles and no blood involved.
  • How many treatments are required?
    We recommend 3-4 treatments depending on the severity of the hair thinning.
  • Is this treatment suitable for men and women?
    Yes, we have seen success with both men and women dealing with hair loss.
  • Can I continue to use Rogaine or other topical hair treatments?
    Yes, you do not need to discontinue use of any medications or treatments you are currently using.
  • What is the downtime after microneedling?
    Expect mild redness or sensitivity for 24–72 hours. Most clients return to regular activities the next day.
  • Is SkinPen® safe for all skin types?
    Yes, SkinPen® is Health Canada-approved and safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types.
  • Can I book microneedling while pregnant or breastfeeding?
    We do not perform microneedling during pregnancy or while nursing due to healing variability and safety concerns.
  • Can this treat stretch marks or loose skin?
    Yes! Microneedling is clinically proven to reduce stretch marks and improve skin firmness and tone.
  • Is SkinPen® microneedling painful?
    It’s very tolerable! We apply a professional numbing cream beforehand. Most people describe it as a light pressure or prickling sensation.
  • How many microneedling sessions do I need for acne scars or texture?
    Most clients benefit from 3 to 6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Acne scars and deep wrinkles typically require a full series for best results.
  • Is FreezPen safe for all skin types?
    Yes, but a consultation is required to confirm suitability and avoid pigment changes.
  • Is the treatment painful?
    Most clients feel a brief, cold sensation or light stinging that fades quickly.
  • Will I need downtime?
    No – there’s little to no downtime. You can return to normal activities right after.
  • Will the spots come back?
    Treated lesions do not grow back, but new ones may develop over time.
